A note from the Director of the Department of Energy Isotope Program, Dr. Jehanne Gillo

Dear Colleagues in the Isotope Program community,

I have made the very difficult and bittersweet decision to retire from federal service in the first half of 2025. Consequently, I have offered to step aside from my role as Director and take on the position of Senior Advisor (and Acting Director) in the DOE Isotope Program so that the Office of Science can advertise for my replacement. This will optimize overlap between myself and my successor to facilitate the transition and ensure that there is no gap in leadership of this critical program. My position is being advertised now at the following link and closes on April 22.

With best regards,
